The intro

 1 Step at a time...

Introduction:

If I'm honest I don't know the true outcome of this blog. Am I doing it for myself? Do I think people would ever read it? Do I need it as a way to get out my thought and feelings in a way I want to? I’m not sure but here it is.

This will be my journey through fitness.
I have always been keen on fitness and exercise, but for once I want to put it in place for the long term. This will be my way of keeping in touch with that.
I am currently studying sport and exercise science and am for once feel like I'm ahead of others, which is a feeling I've never experienced before but it's actually a really nice feeling, I'm in a place where I'm feeling confident in my studies which I know not everyone can achieve.

I'm changing m life for myself, I want to be fitter and healthier and change m life for the good not for anyone else. Which is also a really difficult position to be in, there is only a small difference in exercising for you and exercising for everyone else. It easy to convince yourself that what you are doing is for the benefit of you but in reality is most often for the eyes on others.
I've been wanting to drop this for a while, but kept procrastinating, putting it off saying ill start next week (because whose gonna start on a Wednesday in the middle of the week) and finally that week came, so far I am 3 days into my journey of positive eating to cause weight gain and regular resistance exercise to build muscle.

Where to start?

I started off my downloading a health app. Mine is called better me, this asked me questions and helped to plan out the calories i’m meant to eat and different food plans I could follow. I then researched the best workout plan for a week, including rest days and having different days to focus on different areas of the body.
I was also recommended a fitness influencer. Her name is Anna Archer, and from the few days I have listened to her podcast, watched her Tik Tok's, followed her instagram and watched her YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrtLCrYOUh2Oe8hZdmfz1mQ), I could not recommended her highly enough. She has a good mix of being a normal relatable person to also someone who you can follow. She is very open on her podcast of past experiences in relationships, mental health and then her general life of friendships and her active fitness life. She preaches about healthy gym going and eating healthy in the right way.
In her short time as an influencer she has gained brand deals with brands like misfits (Protein bars and cereal are top their) and has become a gym shark ambassador (If they want me to become one as well Im down).
In no way are my aspirations that high, in no way do I think people would even read this, maybe my mum (hi mum) but its a start and I hope to carry on a share what I do and the challenges I face.

Au revoir
Zoe
