Finding what’s right for you
Finding what’s right for you:
This could not be more important in a fitness aspect. There is no point starting something that you’re not going to continue or work well with you you are as a person.
Research:
Take time before staring something to research it, look in books, magazines, online, Instagram, YouTube, wherever you feel you’re going to find information that will inform you. Look at different diets if that’s what you’re working on, or exercise plans or the difference between cardio and resistance workouts. Anything that’s going to improve you way of going forward. Even if this ends up meaning trying different things out it really important to find what’s right for you.
Trial:
Have a go at that online exercise video you’ve been wanting to or that yoga course that has just begun locally whatever it is your allowed to have a go and if it doesn’t work for you stop.
If this means a trial at a gym get a day pass and have a good go at everything, learn how to use the machines don’t be scared to look like a beginner because everyone was a beginner at some point in their lives.
Also don’t be scared to ask for help. If you know people around you that are keen gym goers or health nuts talk to them about getting active and into fitness. When i first wanted to start i spoke to the gym boys who were studying what i was studying and i always knew there answer was the honest truth and i followed it because they knew what they were doing.
Don’t put to much pressure on yourself:
Be okay with having off days. These are key in any sort of training. Active rest days or just plain rest days allows muscles to rest and recover decreasing chance of injury and allowing them to form.
Treat yourself, buy that new gym outfit or go off of your meal plan this isn’t going to hurt you or be detrimental to your end goal it’s important to put yourself first.
Have fun with it.
Exercise should be fun that’s what will make you succeed for longer.
Au revoir
Zoe
